What Is The CDCP?

The CDCP is a national program designed to help eligible Canadian citizens access
a wide range of dental services. The program focuses on allowing up to nine
million Canadians receive affordable dental care. It is not entirely free. However,
the CDCP can cover some qualifying patients' dental treatment costs. Here is who
is eligible for the plan:

  • Seniors 65 and over
  • Adults with a valid disability tax credit certificate
  • Children under 18
  • All remaining eligible Canadian residents: 2025

*Patients with dental coverage through a social program run by the federal,
provincial, or territorial governments may still be eligible.

Why Do We Accept The Plan?

We’re dedicated to helping children, adults, and senior patients alike receive the dental care they need to achieve a healthy smile. As the CDCP can support Canadians of various ages and with different family net incomes, we believe it can benefit many patients. Patients might have to pay a co-payment for the service depending on their adjusted family net income. This is how payment can operate:

  • No Co-Payment: There is no co-payment if your family's adjusted yearly net income is less than $70,000.
  • 40% Co-Payment: A 40% co-payment is required for patients whose adjusted annual family net income falls between $70,000 and $79,999.
  • 60% Co-Payment: Individuals with an adjusted annual family net income between $80,000 and $89,999 are eligible for the 60% co-payment.

It's crucial to remember that CDCP fees might differ from what our office bills for services. Thus, you might have to pay extra if:

  • The cost of your oral health care service exceeds what the CDCP will reimburse based on their set fees.
  • You consent to undergo services that the plan does not cover.
